Theresa reflects, creates and depicts a representation of her world by exploring our natural world and through trained and careful observation of her surroundings. Climate change affected landscapes and landscapes, abstract and real, are themes that resonant with Theresa and continue to appear in her work.
During a residency in western North Dakota, she explored and observed the badlands inspiring her abstract landscapes. In her 2024 artist in residency in Iceland, she intends to learn traditional textile techniques (wet and dry felting) to further her work in abstract landscapes.
She has taught workshops since 2012 and finds teaching to be a growth opportunity for both instructor and student. Her work is held in private collections and has been shown in solo and group exhibitions locally, regionally and nationally.
